Hot flashes is my new cardio!
Menopause — Puberty’s evil older sister
You are here at last! Its celebration time! No more cramps,no more stains, no more calendars reminders ,no more mess and no more colour preferences during those special days.Right from your age of 14 years every month for 5 days on an average you have bared this. Yes all this pain made you fertile by giving a chance for you to be a mother along with a woman. Now that you are at the age of 45 years, its new phase of womanhood to embrace — MenoPAUSE. Menopause means that your periods have completely stopped for at least 12 months. Its not a disease or a scary condition infact its freedom from those bloody days and a sign of more maturity.Menopause is not a thief to snatch away your high energy levels, your sexual desires none of your enjoyments of life. Na Na Na, you are not an old lady.Is just means you won’t have any more periods and can no longer get pregnant .So cheer up! And embrace the new feather on your cap.
Two of the biggest physical milestones in a woman’s life are menarche -the first menstrual period in girls, and menopause, when menstruation stops and female reproductive hormones slow. These milestones are universal and mark the beginning and end of a woman’s reproductive cycle.
Yes few changes are seen in women’sbody when she attends her PUBERTY and gets her menarche like she gets her first menstrual cycle, she finds changes in her body structure similarly at Menopause also few changes are associated as its all hormonal game. The reproductive change is that no egg is produce for fertilization so no more hopes of being a new mother. The endrocrine system changes may be excessive sweat even if just sitting in air condition rooms, weight gains especially around your stomach and hip regions. The nervous system changes are mood swings, less sleep, anxiety. The excretory system change makes you feels to often pee. The cardio change is that because your female hormone estrogen is reduced the cholesterol may dominate making your heart at risk. The muscular system change is that bone density reduces so one trip and expect fracture. Leave all these medical terms…
Don’t worry!! All these complaints of your are not the serious ones. They are easy to handle. Just an extra care of yourself — just an extra attention towards yourself. Eat right at right time — a complete balanced diet full of calcium, iron, omega 3, vitamins keep the enemy foods away like sugar, caffeine, alcohol ,cigar, red meat and fried and junk. Exercise should be routine- whatever you like- yoga, stretching, gym ,walking anything — to maintain weight, burn calories and strengthen muscles.
Be positive and accept the change in you. I am writing this at 4 am as I am sleepless. Take care
